| Being a mother is amazing. I love it!!
... But it also means less time to write in this thingy. So I'll just have to update when she's asleep
| | |
| So everytime I write in this thing I think I'll be updating it at least
once a week but it always ends up being like once every 3 months. I'd
say since my last entry a lot has changed ...
Most people know by now that Michaelangelo and I are having a baby.
Yay!!! And the first question people ask is "girl or boy?" and then
they ask "what are you gonna name her?" and then it's "when are you
due?" So the answers are -girl, -Jessalyn, -April 25th.
It's pretty exciting. We went to Babies'r'us on Saturday to register
and we scanned like everything in the store. haha. When we were done
the lady printed out our registry and we had 18 pages!!!! 5 of those
pages were clothes
hehe. When we got home I looked over the little catalog thingy and
checklist they gave us and I realized we didn't scan the little stuff
we need everyday like shampoo, soap, lotion, and the different
medicines and ointments. Also, one of the most important
things... bottles!!! We only scanned like one set. But it's ok cuz next
weekend we go to Target (yes! my favoritist store ever!!) to register
for more. It's fun. Sometimes you discover these things that you never
knew existed. Like I saw this thing at Babies' r' us that you put over
the babies peepee (for boys) so when you change their diaper they don't
pee on you. hahahahahha. it was so funny.
We also bought one of those
prenatal heart listeners so we can hear the babies heartbeat and stuff.
We can't hear the heartbeat just yet cuz it says it's best to use in
the beginning of the 3rd trimester and I'm only at the end of my 2nd, but we do hear her kicking. It sounds like drums. It's pretty cool.
I feel her kicking and have been for about a month now. She kicks
around the same times every day. If it's not Winky that wakes me up,
it's this little girl inside me. She also kicks a short while after I
eat. Her way of saying thank you I guess. hehe Sometimes she has some
pretty strong ones that you can even see if you just stare at my belly.
It was so weird to me at first, but now I'll just stop what I'm doing
and put my hands on my belly to feel where the kicks are at or I just
sit there and stare at it. Michael likes to feel when she kicks. I
think she knows it's her daddy's hand though cuz once he puts it on my
stomach she stops. haha.
I also get asked a lot about the pregnancy hormones. Usually it's "are
you having mood swings?" Suprisingly, I haven't. I was more emotional
when I wasn't pregnant and it was that time of the month. I'm happier now, but I don't
get all sad two seconds later. Just happy. Thank goodness though..I
hate mood swings. And I know Michael does too. He used to hate when I
pmsed. I guess it is pretty confusing for guys though. Cuz we go crazy
on them for the weirdest reasons.
What I hate the most is the breaking out and drying skin. I've never
broken out like this before in my life!!! I don't even know how to take
care of it cuz they say it's not gonna go away. And I can't use
Proactiv anymore cuz they say there's some chemical in it that I
shouldn't be using. So I kinda just have to deal with it for another 3
months. O well, I
don't go out much anyways. And I have no one to impress... i think.
hehe. Thank goodness Michael still makes me feel good about myself even
though I'm fat, breaking out, and boring. haha. He just calls me a boat
every once in a while. haha juss kidding.
As for our relationship... it's going really
well. I'd say the best ever. When we first found out we were stressed
out and kinda lost on what to do. But now that everyone knows and
everyone supports us and we've now accepted being parents we're as
happy as ever. Or that could just be me. I haven't really sat down and
asked "so how do you feel?" hehe. But from what I can see he's happy
and just as excited as I am. We haven't fought in the longest time.
Not even the smallest arguments which is pretty cool. Even though he
goes out more now and sometimes I don't even know where he is, it
doesn't seem to bother me like it did before. I'm a worrier. But I
guess it's cuz I enjoy staying at home now just relaxing and enjoying
time to myself. I don't have the energy to worry where he is. In a
couple months I won't have that alone time anymore.*sigh* But it's ok
cuz i'll have a bundle of joy to keep me busy.
Other than the baby, here are the highlights of my winter break...
-My mom went to the PI for two whole weeks.
Too long if you ask me. I missed her. But --- she brought me back lots
and lots of presents. I think she bought me more stuff than for
herself. She only bought my brother and dad barongs. I got a whole
bunch of clothes. Specifically maternity clothes which are actually
really cute and I can still wear them after the baby's born. And she
bought me bracelets and slippers and like 5 purses. Yea, she spoils me.
So what?!? I thought she'd buy Christmas presents for everyone since
it's way cheaper there but she said she had no more room in her luggage
and she didn't want to go over the limit which is like something pounds
a bag. And every pound you go over is like $50. She even had to leave
some of her stuff there and gave it to her friends niece. O yea, and
she even bought this cute little pink baby dress. She says it's for the
baptism. And she didn't even know it was gonna be a girl cuz I didn't
get to talk to her the whole time she was gone. But before she left she
did guess it was gonna be a
girl just by how my stomach was shaped. Mom's are psychic. Anyways...
she got back the day before her birthday. I was super happy that day
-On the 23rd of December we
went to my uncles house in Rancho Cucamonga for his birthday party. It
was also my Mom's birthday, my cousins Kristina's 8th Birthday, and my
other cousin Dantes' 30 something birthday. They were all there except
for Dantes cuz he was at home hung over. O! And we also found out he
and his wife are pregnant too! She's like a month or two along.
-Christmas Eve was nice and
relaxing. Me and Michael stayed home the whole day and just watched
movies and stuff. Usually we go to Fullerton and have a little family
thing but not this year. We also made lots and lots and lots of cookies and brownies for Santa
It was fun. I made little bear sugar cookies and decorated them with
icing. Took me the whole night until it was time to open presents. Me,
Michael, and my bro have done the whole opening presents at 12am thing
for the past 3 years. I don't know what we did before that. hehe. I got
lots of cooool presents that I love and are useful and will keep me
busy for the next 3 months.
-Christmas Day we spend in
Carson with Michael's side. But first we went to visit grandma at the
cemetary. I decorated her grave all pretty and gave her a little
christmas tree, 2 bouquets of flowers, and other Christmasy stuff.
Michael's family came over for dinner. Yummy yummy food.
-New Year's Eve was another
relaxing day at home. We stayed in our pj's the whole day and spent
time with the doggies and watched movies again. We stayed up till 12
watching Dick Clark's Rockin Eve.This is the first year I've spent New
Year's Eve with Michael in 4 years! Usually he'll come after
12 or when he wakes up. So it was nice. I know everyone loves partying
on New Year's Even but I don't like going out. My whole life it's been
a family thing and we just stay home, watch tv, celebrate at 12, drink
apple cidar, and then sleep.
-New Year's Day we went to
Carson and there was a little bbq with Michael's friends. It was fun
with more yummy food. Then for some reason they all wanted to race so
the girls took one car and followed the boys around looking for a spot.
Cops were everywhere so they made us girls keep watch. No fun! We
didn't even get to watch them race.
-January 6th was our 4 year and
6 month anniversary. Yes, after 4 1/2 years we still celebrate our
month-iversaries. We spent it at Babies'r'us, went to eat at one of my
favorite places - Red Robin, and then watched Freedom Writers. Really good movie by the way. Go watch it!
It was also my grandpa's one year death anniversary. There was a thing
at my cousins house but my mom didn't tell me about it so I didn't go.
I just assume she didn't tell her siblings about me yet or something.
So even though I did know about it I pretended I didn't. I miss my grandpa.
-January 7th was Michael's
grandma's birthday party so we went over there again. First we stopped
by the cemetary in Long Beach to visit my grandpa and we ran into my
cousins there. Ronellie, Marilou, Stacy, and Jason were there. I had a
feeling someone would be
there... I just didn't know who. We visited with them for 20 minutes or
so but had to leave cuz everyone was waiting for us back at the house.
Michael's family was already there and when I walked in the door there
was a nice greeting. All the aunts and uncles were congratulating us
and asking how I was doing. It's nice to know even the elders are happy
and excited about it. They were just giving us advice and the aunts
were trying to figure out where I can buy cute maternity clothes. ahah.
Cuz I guess Michael's mom told them I still wear regular jeans without
buttoning them. hehe. She ended up going to Kmart and buying me a bunch
of clothes.
When everyone left we went to Target to buy stuff for their dog so he
can stay in the house. And we bought invitations for the baby shower.
Michael spent $160! The dog bed alone was $30. And the invitations were
$20/box with 50 in each. And then he bought a basketball and other
doggy stuff. I love Target.

| Ok.. so I haven't updated in like 5 months. I'm sure I've had the time...I just never wanted to.
So I guess I'll just talk about whatever comes to mind.
...Summertime...
-This summer I celebrated 4 years with
my wonderful boyfriend. We ran away to San Diego for a weekend. Made
reservations at a Holiday Inn. The first day we went to San Diego Zoo's
Wild Animal Park and the 2nd day we went to the actual Zoo. I haven't
been to either since I was little so I never noticed how far apart the
parks were from each other. On the actual day (which was July 6th) we
ate at Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach and watched the sunset. That
was kind of romantic. The dinner was amazing. We got cheesecake to go and ate it at a movie. I forget which one.
-We went to Vegas for the weekend... I think San Diego and Vegas were my only vacation.
But they were still fun. I actually drove home from Vegas. I can't
believe I made it. But Michael was whining and made me. hehe.
-I spent a lot of time with CG. We went out a lot. Newport Pier, Marc and Angela's house, the beach, Paul's house... wherever. Even off season I can't get enough.
...School...
So I started school August 2? I have 12 units. Trying to finish
the IGETC. I'm almost done. Thank BOB!! I think I'll be done by this
summer...hopefully. Then off to UCI. Yay for psychology! haha
umm... i dont know what else. My life's just been the same as usual. Boyfriend, cg, school, sleep. haha. that's all. ok bye
...Common Ground...
